In the third year of the Pontificate of his Holiness Pope Francis, at the Eighteenth hour on Sunday the First of November, Solemnity of All Saints; his grace, the Most Reverend Anthony Fisher OP, Archibishop of Sydney, by the grace of God and of the Holy See, in the presence of the Parish Priest, Reverend Father Melvin Llabanes, solemnly BLESSED this Church and CONSACRATED its new Altar, according to the Rites of Roman Pontifical. We gratefully acknowledge the work of our past and present Clergy, Parishioners, and indeed many who have helped to bring the Parish to this day. We invoke God’s abundant graces and blessings upon all our Benefactors. The celebration of the Blessing of this Church and the Consecration of its new Altar, took place with the assistance of many presbyters and faithful. Placed inside the altar is the relic of our Patron Saint, Saint Vincent de Paul, a priest who dedicated himself to serving the poor. He was renowned for his compassion, humility and generosity and his popularly known as ‘The Great Apostle of Charity’. To him and to the Blessed Virgin Mary, help of Christians, Patroness of Australia, we entrust ourselves.
